The Ghost Hunt manga/anime both are based off of the light novel series by Fuyumi Ono.
The main character is a high school student named Mai Taniyama, who works for Kazuya Shibuya (Naru), the young president of Shibuya Psychic Research and they met other characters (Buddhist monk Houshou Takigawa; shrine maiden Ayako Matsuzaki; celebrity teen psychic Masako Hara; and Catholic priest John Brown) to research paronolmal activities.
